The Thunders women’s volleyball team fell from grace this year after six consecutive years as East Division champions. Handed a team compiled solely of rookie players, with the exception of one veteran, coach Everton Senior used this year as a learning experience.
The women’s Thunder volleyball team made a powerful statement of what’s to come for next season with their 3 – 2 win against their rivals, the Georgian Grizzlies, on Feb. 13. In the last game against the Grizzlies, the Thunder lost 0 – 3 and at the beginning of the first set, it looked like the Thunder would go down again.
