Sometimes a little goes a long way,  and that’s the goal of  this year’s public relations students who have chosen the International Charity for Africa as the focus of their 22nd annual spring fundraising campaign.

The child and youth worker program sparked awareness and raised $1,000 for Project Tembo, a non-profit project aimed at empowering women in Tanzania, Africa.

 “Some people think I’m crazy. But what’s insane? Who decides who’s sane and who’s not? Is it sane to spend your whole life working and accumulating wealth, never spending any time with your kids or your family, thinking that in this whole universe, you are so significant that your life is perfect?”

The Internationally Educated Professionals conference was held March 9 at the downtown Ottawa Marriot Hotel attracting over 500 attendees.
